Type 444 is a ferritic stainless steel with low carbon and low nitrogen content, offering superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to most other ferritic stainless steels. It is particularly suited for applications that demand excellent corrosion resistance and protection against chloride stress corrosion cracking.
